Change takes more than a good plan.
Most of the challenges I get invited into don’t fit neatly into a consulting box. Maybe a leadership team needs to work differently together. An organization knows its culture needs to shift. A community is wrestling with trust. Or a system keeps producing outcomes nobody wants. Bottom line, people who need one another to make progress are struggling to find a way forward.
These challenges are rarely addressed sustainably through an off-the-shelf solution. They need people who are willing to see more of the system, have different conversations, strengthen relationships, learn together, and try something new.
And that’s the work I help make possible
My Services
Build the capacity to lead.
Leadership isn't just about what one person knows or can do. Our hardest challenges require leaders who can build trust, navigate uncertainty, work across difference, exercise courage, learn from others, and create the conditions for people around them to contribute and lead.
I design leadership development experiences that are deeply human, highly participatory, and grounded in the real work leaders are facing. We don't just talk about leadership; we practice it together.
This can look like:
Leadership development • Coaching • Leadership cohort design • Team development • 1:1 Coaching
Create the conditions for honest conversation.
Sometimes a group doesn't need another meeting. It needs a different kind of conversation.
I design and facilitate spaces where people can slow down enough to see what's really happening, surface what matters, hear perspectives they might otherwise miss, work with tension rather than around it, and make meaningful decisions together.
I don't come in with the answer. I create the conditions for the wisdom, experience, questions, and possibilities already in the room to become more visible - and more useful.
This can look like:
Facilitation • Strategic retreats • Difficult conversations • Community engagement
See - and shift - the system.
The problem in front of us is rarely the whole problem.
Systems have histories, patterns, structures, incentives, relationships, assumptions, and power dynamics that shape what is possible. If we only respond to the most visible problem, we can work very hard without changing much.
I help people step back, see more of the system they're part of, and make sense of how those pieces interact. From there, we can identify where change is possible, experiment with new approaches, learn from what happens, and keep moving.
This can look like:
Systems-change strategy • Program design & evaluation • Learning & sensemaking experiences and process
Strengthen the relationships change depends on.
Relationships aren't the soft side of change. They're infrastructure.
When trust is thin, people protect their turf, difficult conversations get avoided, information stops moving, and even the best strategy struggles to take hold. When relationships are strong enough to hold disagreement, uncertainty, accountability, and difference, groups can do much harder things together.
I help teams, organizations, communities, and collaboratives strengthen that relational infrastructure—not simply so people get along better, but so they can accomplish things together that they couldn't accomplish alone.
This can look like:
Cross-sector convening • Collaborative design • Partnership development • Trust-building
The work often overlaps. That's the point.
The work rarely stays neatly in one lane. What begins as a systems-change effort might lead us to questions about leadership or culture; a facilitated conversation might reveal relationships that need more attention; coaching one leader might illuminate something happening across the larger organization or system. We’re working in complex ecosystems here - so much is connected. And I don’t find it particularly useful to separate them just because we have different names for them. I’d rather start with what you’re trying to change, stay curious about what we discover along the way, and let the work take shape from there.
In other words, you don't need to diagnose the problem before you reach out, and you definitely don't need to know which category your challenge fits into. Tell me what's happening, what's feeling stuck, or what you hope could be different, and we'll go from there.
The Sea Ranch - just because it’s one of my favorite ecosystems in the world.
